QIGONG (chi) – Art of Energy Cultivation
There are some extremely valuable methods of alternative exercise that are still pretty much on the fringe of people’s awareness. I offer these practical, no-nonsense teachings you can use instantly to manage stress, illness, and tension, and even streamline your performance.
The Qi Gong systems I teach are of Taoist origin and emphasise interoception (inner sensing). They are an integrated mind-body practice that offers low-impact activities that promote relaxation, mental focus, and strengthen joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, and the functioning of your internal organs.
Two Classical systems I work with are:
Hun Yuan Qi Gong and Dragon and Tiger Qi Gong,

Qi Gong is a term coined in the 1950’s in China as a catch-all umbrella term for older traditions of Mind-Body modalities that were historically used to enhance performance in martial arts, support health, and/or support prolonged spiritual endeavour. All these practices focus on energy ( bio-electrical ) management and development. Qi Gong offers a time-tested approach to regulating and balancing your mind and body by developing your personal life force Qi. ( Vital Force )
I offer Qi Gong classes online and in person, one-to-one and on retreat, plus teacher training on application. We focus on overall health, strength, and energy cultivation, and non-distracting (meditative) intent. The Qi Gong I teach is classically based and backed by my 41 years of research, practice, and teaching in the Taoist Internal Arts to people of all ages.
In China, Qi Gong is offered as a method of physiotherapy via Hospitals and is used for the recovery from surgery and cancer. It is used alongside Western approaches and is often used to stave off he side effects of chemo and radiation. I have taught many people to rehabilitate acute and chronic conditions.
I ran a full-time studio in London for 26 years, raised a family, and navigated a host of obstacles to offer lineage teachings to a broad cross-section of the community. Through my extensive approach, you will have the opportunity to understand yourself, build a durable nervous system, enhance your physical and mental strength, and develop your ability to listen and sense within, all of which support improved well-being and self-awareness.
